Why send a PDF instead
A Word document does not render the same way on every machine. A missing font, a different Office version or a small change in margins is enough to shift the whole pagination. A PDF freezes the layout — what you see is exactly what your reader gets.
That is why a résumé, a quote, a contract or a dissertation travels as a PDF. It is also the only format most submission portals will accept.
What the conversion keeps
Morphix uses LibreOffice on the server to interpret the document. Styles, tables, lists, headers and footers, images and page breaks are all preserved, and hyperlinks stay clickable in the resulting PDF.
Two limits are worth knowing. Unusual fonts installed only on your own machine are substituted with the closest match, which can shift line endings slightly. And dynamic features — live form fields, macros, comments — have no equivalent in a flat PDF and are not carried over.

Is my document layout preserved?
Yes. Styles, tables, images, headers, footers and page breaks are kept. Only fonts installed solely on your own machine may be substituted, which sometimes shifts line endings slightly.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
The recommended format is .docx. An older .doc converts reliably once you re-save it as .docx from Word or LibreOffice, which avoids interpretation errors.
What is the maximum file size?
50 MB per file, and up to 20 files per conversion. A Word document rarely reaches that limit unless it holds a lot of uncompressed images.
Does the PDF carry a watermark?
No. Morphix adds no watermark, no credit line and no advertising page. The PDF contains your document and nothing else.
